David Myland Kaufman, MD is Deputy Director of Psychiatry Residency Training and Professor of Neurology and Psychiatry at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. In addition to having published more than 36 articles, he has authored the classic textbook, Kaufman’s Clinical Neurology for Psychiatrists (Elsevier), currently in its 9th edition. He is the originator and for 30 years directed the annual course of the same name. He has also co-edited Child and Adolescent Neurology for Psychiatrists and Neurologic Disorders: Developmental and Behavioral Sequelae in Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Clinics. He graduated from the University of Chicago School of Medicine and has been a visiting professor there, at Ben Gurion University in Israel, the U. S. Navy, and numerous other medical schools in the United States and Canada. |

Andrea J. Weiss, MD is Associate Professor Emerita Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Weiss has devoted much of her career to the education and training of medical students and residents in psychiatry. She was the recipient of the Leadership in Psychiatric Education Lifetime Achievement Award from the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2020. Prior to her retirement in 2020, Dr. Weiss was the Adult Psychiatry Residency Training Program Director for the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She has published on the subject of suicide prevention, the use of Entrustable Professional Activities as an evaluative tool, and curriculum development. Dr. Weiss was a co-founder and remains co-director of the nationally renowned neurology and psychiatry courses: Clinical Neurology and Psychiatry for Psychiatrists, and Psychiatry: Maintenance of Certification. She remains on the faculty of the “Tarrytown” Chief Resident Leadership Conference and is a member of the PRITE editorial board. Dr. Weiss has presented at national conferences on psychiatric education, psychiatric training, and other topics. Dr. Weiss received her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she also completed her residency training in psychiatry. |

Daniel Antoniello, MD Dr. Antoniello is a board-certified vascular neurologist and behavioral neurologist. He is director of the vascular neurology training fellowship. He completed his vascular neurology training at Columbia University, and cognitive neurology at the University of Florida. He completed his neurology training at Montefiore Hospital/Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Antoniello specializes in the clinical care of stroke patients and disorders of cognition. His research interest concentrates on the overlap between stroke and cognition.

Peter A. R. Spyrou, MD Peter Spyrou, MD, is an attending psychiatrist, Center for Transplantation and Assistant Professor, Psychiatry and Behavioral Services at Montefiore Einstein. His clinical focus centers on medically complex patient care, polypharmacy, consult-liaison psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, addiction psychiatry and tobacco use. After earning his Doctor of Medicine at New York Medical College in 2018, Dr. Spyrou completed his psychiatry residency at Montefiore Einstein in 2022, where he was Chief Resident in his final year. He remained here to complete a geriatric psychiatry fellowship in 2023. Dr. Spyrou’s research focuses on transplant psychiatry and tobacco use. He has shared his work through book chapters and poster presentations. Dr. Spyrou is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. In 2022, he received the Leo M. Davidoff Society Award for excellence in medical student teaching. |
